The result of BHU UET 2017 mentions marks obtained by candidates in each section of question paper as well as overall marks and rank obtained in the university level entrance exam. Banaras Hindu University will be releasing a merit list for each programme offered through BHU UET 2017.

The merit list will be mentioning roll number, marks and rank obtained in BHU UET by candidates.  Candidates will be ranked as per their category in the merit list of BHU UET 2017. Moreover, the university will be conducting counselling of BHU UET 2017 in order of merit list only. Marking Scheme of BHU UET 2017

Candidates need to know about marking scheme of BHU UET 2017 to have an understanding of their qualifying status for the entrance test. Check below marking scheme as mentioned in exam pattern of BHU UET 2017 –

• The question paper of BHU UET 2017 carried 150 objective type questions a total of 450 marks except for Shastri (Hons.), which carried 100 multiple choice questions for 300 marks
• For each correct answer, candidates are awarded with three marks
• In case of wrong attempts, one mark is deducted for each incorrect response from total scores
• Moreover, if candidate responded with more than one option for same questions then it is considered as wrong and negative marking is done
• No marks are awarded or deducted for questions not attempted

How to break up tie in BHU UET Merit list 2017?

In case, two or more candidates secure same marks in the entrance exam, the tie in ranks in merit list is to be resolved as mentioned below –

• Candidates who have higher marks (in percentage) in the qualifying examination (10+2 level) will be ranked higher. In case of B.Sc. programme, only aggregate marks of science subjects will be taken in to consideration
• In case of further tie, candidate elder in age will be given preference in merit list of BHU UET 2017

Candidates will be issued call letter as per their rank and category for seat allotment of BHU UET 2017. Candidates need to visit the counselling centre as per their schedule time and date as candidates who won’t be present at the venue, won’t be allotted seat and next eligible candidates will be given the chance to secure a seat.
