How to break tie for BHU PET Result 2017

The candidates who have qualified the postgraduate entrance test will be ranked on merit list of BHU PET 2017 in order of merit. In case, two or more candidates secure same marks in BHU PET 2017 then Banaras Hindu University will be resolving the ties as mentioned below-

• Candidates obtaining higher marks in the qualifying examination will be ranked higher (candidates holding postgraduate degree will be ranked on basis of marks in graduation level qualifying examination)
• In case, candidates have tie in marks of graduation qualifying examination then preference will be given to marks in concerned subject. In case of MCA, candidates having Mathematics at Graduation level qualifying examination will be preferred. If further tie exists, preference will be given to candidates having higher marks in Mathematics, if still tie continues, then marks at 10+2 qualifying examination will be taken in to consideration and candidates having Mathematics subject will be preferred
• If the tie in marks still persists, then candidates senior in age will be given preference

Instructions regarding BHU PET Result 2017

• Candidates have been sent BHU PET 2017 result on their overall merit score, category wise merit score as well as total marks obtained by them on their registered e-mail id and mobile number
• The result of BHU PET 2017 is based on 120 objective type questions for a maximum of 360 marks
• In case of wrong attempts, one marks has been deducted for each wrong response

• Candidates qualified as per the result of BHU PET 2017, need to attend counselling as per their category and rank wise counselling schedule.
